Current Source Impedance Effect on Static Performance of Hybrid R-2R DAC

چکیده :
An analytical bound for the current source impedance in current-steering R-2R DAC is presented which maintain monotonicity in dc characteristic of the converter. DNL for the converter is found based on the current source impedance and ladder resistance ratio, and validated through simulations. Utilizing this bound also guarantees the INL to be smaller than 0.5LSB which means linear characteristic for the DAC and good SFDR or THD performance.
