چکیده :
This paper presents an ultra-wideband (UWB) Low-Noise Amplifier (LNA) with enhanced linearity targeting RF receiver front-end applications. The proposed LNA employs a three-stage topology including a common-gate (CG) input stage for wideband input matching, a cascode gain stage for improved gain and isolation, and an output buffer to ensure proper output impedance matching. To address linearity challenges, the derivative superposition (DS) technique is implemented in the gain stage. This technique effectively reduced third-order intermodulation distortion. The amplifier achieves an S21 of approximately 12.9 dB and a Noise Figure (NF) of around 5 dB across the operating frequency band. The 3-dB bandwidth extends from 3.3 GHz to 9.5 GHz, making the design suitable for broadband Radio Frequency (RF) applications. Additionally, the LNA consumes 12.9 mW from a 1.2 V supply, which is favorable for UWB wireless systems. The combination of wide bandwidth, moderate gain, acceptable NF, and enhanced linearity makes this LNA a promising solution for modern high-frequency communication front-ends.
