چکیده :
Abstract— A new method for calculating the nth intercept points due to the polynomial Non-linearity is proposed. The proposed approach utilizes a Pascal triangle composed of two complex tones. The main difference with the conventional approach is using two complex tones instead of two real tones. Two e^iα and e^(-iα) tones with coefficients come from Pascal’s triangle are utilized for IPn calculation. The scenarios for calculating odd and even IPn are different from each other. By using in-band distortion components as opposed to conventional out of band components, calculation of the intercept points is greatly simplified in contrast with other calculation methods. In this paper odd and even Intercept points up to 7th and 4th order is obtained using the Pascal triangle respectively. Higher-order intercept points can easily be derived by simply extending the Pascal triangle and following the concept utilized in this brief.
