Magnetic Propoerties of Permalloy (Co-Ni-Fe) Electroplated Film on Graphene-Oxide (GO) Thin Film Based on Copper Substrate

چکیده :
In this paper, properties of a thin film of permalloy, an alloy of Fe, Co and Ni, electroplated on graphene-oxide (GO) film on a copper substrate have been studied at ambient temperature. Firstly, electrophoresis method was utilized to deposit GO on the copper substrate. Afterwards, electroplating has been carried out using proper aqueous solution of chlorides and sulfates of aforementioned metallic elements. Surface morphological properties of the thin film were studied by field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) technique. X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD) and vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) were applied to study the structural and magnetic properties of the sample thereby extracting coercivity (Hc), remanence (Br) and saturation flux density (Bs) of it. The extracted s-shaped narrow width hysteresis curve demonstrates the soft magnetic characteristics on the surface of the film. In order to study the existence of desired elements including magnetic element on the deposited films, EDS (Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy) analysis was performed and the elemental atomic and weight percentages along with dispersion map of elements on the surface were extracted.
