چکیده :
This study presents the design and displacement analysis of two microcantilever biosensor structures for tuberculosis (TB) detection. The first structure is made of PDMS, while the second utilizes polyimide and silicon materials. Both sensors incorporate a stress concentration region (SCR) to enhance sensitivity by amplifying surface strain caused by antigen–antibody binding. Finite element simulations were performed using COMSOL Multiphysics, and MATLAB was used for analytical calculations. The results demonstrate material-dependent displacement behavior and validate the modeling approach through close agreement between simulation and analytical solutions. Importantly, the effect of the cantilever’s self-weight—often neglected—was included for accurate deflection prediction. These findings emphasize the critical role of material selection and structural weight in optimizing sensor performance.
