چکیده :
This paper presents a time-domain analytical formulation of the locking behavior in relaxation oscillators. An idealized oscillator model is first employed to eliminate secondorder effects, providing a foundation for analyzing locking and jitter characteristics of non-harmonic injection-locked oscillators in the time domain. The proposed formulation explains why some locked conditions are unstable, and whether a stable condition exists for each unstable one. Furthermore, it demonstrates that, to the first order, the jitter transfer function from the injected signal to the output of the locked oscillator behaves as a single-pole low-pass filter, with a bandwidth proportional to the frequency difference between the injected signal and the free-running oscillator.
